1. We were asked by the Friends of St Nicholas association to restore windows which were in need of repair.  Of particular interest where a pair which dated back to before the Victorian period.  These commemorative windows appear to have been made using a variety of glass from previous windows.  We could tell this by the heavily pitted nature of the glass and cutting methods used.  It is likely that because of the cost to make certain types of glass such as flash glass, salvaged pieces would have been used.
