This is the third trip we have made to various houses along a particular short road in Kemp Town. They all have the same striking windows overlooking the rear gardens. Here is a sash window we took out and repaired as it was badly bowed.

Here are a couple of panels we recently repaired. They had some breaks and were copperfoiled. We took them apart and leaded them for extra strength as they were in a door originally without support.

Brighton Festival Open House

We are exhibiting four large stained glass pieces and our exciting bunting for the Open Houses, part of the Brighton Festival.

Here is a commission from the archives I just stumbled across. We completed the work about three years ago. This rather large piece, which measured around a meter and a half across was fitted as a triple glazed unit above the kitchen sink unit. It obscured a brick wall only a couple of meters behind. A much more pleasant view.

We were very happy to make this bespoke copper foil cabinet for jewelry maker Cara Tonkin. She is a very talented Brighton based artist who sells all over the world. You can see her creations locally at Baroque in Brighton and Brass Monkeys in Hove.

There are quite a few buildings in Brighton and Hove that have this design on the relevant flats doors. I always enjoy seeing how the lead lines are used within the central shape to attach the number. It’s a real art to place the necessary lead lines but at the same time not to detract from the main feature which is the number.
