As part of the Brighton Festival, we are very happy to be exhibiting some work specially commissioned for the show. We have been working closely with Tom Hubmann, a very tallented illustrator based in South West England to make four pieces, based around the theme of wellbeing.
Inspired by nature, nostalgia and the wonderment of everyday life, Tom creates work that makes people both smile and think. This collaboration combines many processes. Glass fusing, kiln fired painting, lead work and cheerful imagery.
Tom Hubmann is a freelance illustrator living and working in Southwest England. He balances commissions for clients with personal projects, printmaking, writing, surfing, fishing, baking and exploring.
Often driven by some kind of message or narrative within, he engages the imagination in a playful manner using formats that best support the message of each individual project. Tom has produced work for many international clients such as charity ‘Friends of the Earth’ and magazine ‘Design Week’
